Crowning the Queen of the net
IF! "Content Is King..." Then graphics must be "Queen". We all know that every website on the net needs content. Content sells websites and gains the SEO advantage. But the "eye candy" keeps people on your site, adds the feeling and atmosphere that can make the experience pleasant or not. Origional content is hard to find and time consuming to compile. But, on the other hand, a cloned site will not rate well in search engines nor with your visitors. Same must be said for graphics and feel. Too many graphics will see you penalized by the search engines. Take this site for instance: the feel is fantastic! Not many graphics but the use of css is extremely well executed. Pearl programming is native and offers a clean flow. All processes are logical and easy to follow. The experience is pleasent. So, where is the "Queen" in this site? Answer: The colour and style is the "Queen" in web02 sites. Any one who is well knowledged in CSS will be in demand for product development work, in this new phase of the net. There are many books available on the subject and CSS is not hard to learn. A photo sales site is boasting being the 350th most visited site on the net. Graphics will always have a place in the "Royal Family" of the net, but the Queen may well be "CSS", in the future. With all this being said, every web site needs graphics. This is a huge industry in a wide open market. If you need graphics to use and to sell, visit my site.
